Over the years, there have been some special Silverlock/Folie a Deux cats who were not Turkish Angoras or Siberians...

Juan...

While working toward the Shorthair judging program, Iris bred two litters of Orientals, including GC/GP Silverlock’s Thai Juan On, a blue Oriental Longhair who was CFA’s 3rd Best of Breed in 2001-2002. Sadly, we lost Juan to cancer in 2013.

Denali...

At the 2005 Madison Square Garden cat show, Iris fell madly, head over heels in love with a fabulous silver kitten. When his breeder, Tracy Smith, offered her a chance to show the kitten in  Premiership, she jumped at the opportunity. As GP Simbakui Denali of Silverlock, the kitten became a purrmanent fixture in our house. Click here to visit Tracy’s web site.

Ba Luu

Since the Siberians are a joint endeavor and the Turkish Angoras were Iris’s original project, it seemed a good idea for Bob to have a cat of a different breed that was uniquely his. After considering a number of shorthair breeds, he settled on a Korat, a rare, solid blue cat native to Thailand. In June 2013, Gentlegift Ba Luu joined the Folie a Deux family. His name means “blues music” in Thai. Click here to visit Gentlegift cattery and learn more about Korats.
